Cardiff is an American painter of Portuguese descent who spent most of his art career outside of the art world doing Graffiti in the inner city streets of the North East in the U.S. Tagging under a different name, the identity of Cardiff was adopted after transferring his art from concrete to canvas in 2005. He called it "spiritual currency," the power of words and their positive effect on mood and perception. He has found the combination of bright colors and inspirational words make for a profound impact on elevating mood. Primarily working in the mediums of spray paint, acrylic, oil paint stick, markers and anything that can leave a mark. Cardiff's' works are collected across the world.
