Refractions is a photographic series exploring texture and liquids at an extremely up-close level, delving into the world of macro-photography in a very particular way. Using multiple panes of glass, miscellaneous objects, and liquids of varying viscosities, opacities, and textures, the final result is images that have an unrealistic quality to them, as if they were more akin to a 3D render rather than technical photography. The end result is stunning images, all with their own little individual universes being magnified through whatever liquid has been placed, and that allows the viewer to explore the images at their own pace.
